Sometime in mid-July, my little vegetable garden, which I had been planning, planting and watering got away from me. It might have had something to do with my abandoning it for 3 weeks to visit friends in Alsace... We came home to two disgruntled and over-fed cats but it was the aggressively verdant forest of foliage and overgrown grass that was the real problem. From that point on, it was GARDEN! and very little else! So now we are in Winter, again, a time of reflection following a month of exhausting celebration and excess. Time to pick up the pieces!
